Upgrade to version of Cad and Revit {20}on select desktops in a lab of 2018

I downloaded 2020 onto 2 desktops in my lab of 2018s. I cannot get the upgrades to read the new license. Do I need a new LMN? If so, is there a way to switch while the system is live?

Please advise.

Autodesk 2020 product line requires network license manager version 11.16.2.0 and yes the switch can be done while users have licenses.   But if any licenses are borrowed make sure to have them returned before upgrading and also stop the service before you uninstall the existing license manager
