Unknown error when installing AutoCad 2014

Disclaimer, Im not computer savvy, so any advice will have to be dumbed down a lot.

I can download the student version, but when it gets to the installation part, I get this very long error message. Theres no error code or name.

So I tried doing the "download now" rather than stright installation, and I get a similar error message, just much shorter. Same response when I do the download browser option.

I also tried the 32 bit vs 63 bit, same thing. I cleaned up my disk, turned off virus protection, and closed alllll the things and Im stumped. This is the first error message I got: Sorry, they are huge

then the second.

try downloading from here:

You can access most current + previous supported version Browser Download links (including the Design & Creation Suites) through Matt, Autodesks Virtual Assistant.
http://knowledge.autodesk.com/topics/account-management/software-downloads/download-methods/virtual-...
Please accept as a solution if this fully resolves the issue

does your school have an I.T dept that you can get help from?

you usually get this error when your anti virus is on

are you sure you turned it off?

Thank you for replying, I *thought* I had turned the anti-virus off, I will triple check. And no, the class instructor said to go through Auto Desk since the issue lies in their product, more or less. I will try what you reccomended and let you know.

another thing to try:

The Windows TEMP folders are full

The system temp directory is not clean. This is the temp directory that setup extracts files to and runs from. Either the temp directory does not have an adequate amount of space, or it has too many files that may conflict with setup files.

Clean the default temp directory and free up hard-disk space by removing unneeded files.

  1. On the Windows Start menu, enter %TEMP% in the "Search programs and files" edit field.
  2. In the Temp folder, press CTRL+A to select all the files and folders contained in the Temp directory and delete them.

Im as far as downloading it..butttttt its been stuck at the same percentage for a half hour and the time remaining is changing from 7 hours to 2 days. Do you think I should just hang tight? Or at what point do I need to give up and take it someone where for help?

Thanks!

these are not 20 to 30 meg programs

these are several gigs in size if you have slow internet be prepared to wait several hours  for the download to complete
