Unable to unistall or reinstall Fusion 360 (Tried all options)

I've been trying to uninstall and reinstall Fusion 360 for a couple of hours now, and nothing has worked. The main reason for uninstalling was due to an issue downloading textures in the program, but it ended up turning into a much bigger issue when I couldn't continue my project...

First, I tried uninstalling the program through the control panel (which is what started the issue, I think), and when that was all done and my computer was restarted, I attempted re-installing the program. But this is when I started getting the error at the 99% mark of the install (shown in the picture)... I should also note that Fusion 360 never disappeared from the Programs and Features page in my control panel.

From that point I tried the Fusion 360 Cleaner Tool, which I found through this forum, but still had no success with it. (I did restart my computer after using the tool as well).

After that didn't work I began manually removing the program files and registry files per the instructions of the manual clean uninstall thread and was still unable to get the re-install to complete... At that point I just started removing all files associated with Autodesk on my computer, and it still gave me the same errors?!

The only thing I haven't done yet is learn how to read and diagnose the Log files, so instead I'm just hoping someone can help me with that on this thread. (I've attached the Log File)

Any suggestions or solutions would be much appreciated

Hello @Anonymous,

The errors below usually mean there are remnants of previous Fusion 360 install attempts on the computer or User Profile permissions restrictions on the system.

The log states:

-2147024894, 'The system cannot find the file specified

Along with:

WARNING :: Could not remove non-existant file: C:\Users\Cxxxxxx Nxxxx\Desktop\Autodesk Fusion 360.

Common Solution to resolve this installation error:

  • Perform a clean uninstall of Fusion 360 via the Fusion Cleanup Tool
  • Clear the TEMP folder
    1. Click the Windows Start button.
    2. In the Run box type %TEMP% and press Enter
    3. Highlight and delete all files. Ignore any files in use.
  • Disable User Account Control from Control Panel
    1. Access User Control Panel from Start Menu > Control Panel User Accounts and Family Safety > User Account.
    2. Click on User Account Control settings.
    3. Move the Slider to Never Notify.
    4. Click OK to make the change effective.
    5. Reboot.
  • Download Fusion 360.
  • Run the installer as admin - right-click > Run as administrator  or make sure you have full Admin permissions
  • Disable antivirus & UAC
