Hello,
When opening AutoCAD, the following message appears:
"Unable to run AutoCAD LT. A dependent component (Microsoft .NET) is missing or you do not have sufficient rights. Install the missing component or reinstall AutoCAD".
I've already reinstalled AutoCAD and repaired the Microsoft .NET files, but the message continues to appear and I can't open AutoCAD.
Regards
David

Have you fully uninstalled / reinstalled the .NET's? I've seen some install the updates shown, but they needed to do a fully uninstall / reinstall.
I believe a Windows update is what corrupted this.
Thank you,
I will try this.
If also think that a windows update made this
Autodesk...please help. I just switched from windows 10 to 11 yesterday, installed civil 3d 2025 and unfortunately installed some ASP.net (forgot to look at the name) update suggested to me by norton and after it rebooted civil 3d wouldn't load. Autodesk, please help. I'd hate to have to reinstall civil 3d, though I'm getting good at it.

The switch to windows 11 yesterday was prompted because of this problem. I thought it was a windows 10 compatibility issue so I bit the bullet and endured a long day of pain. It was the same .net update that got me yesterday, got me this morning. (it won't get me a third time) I tried the uninstall yesterday and it didn't go smoothly...not sure I ever got it fully uninstalled...so I'm hesitant to waste my time again. I took advantage of the reinstall to finally use the 'transfer' option in CUI to move my toolbars instead of copying over the c3d.cuix file that I've been doing for the past 3 releases. I realized I was missing some new toolbar buttons. Back to the problem...I even tried a system restore this morning but that didn't resolve the problem. I think the easiest course of action for me is to try a remove and reinstall of civil 3d.
Now I can't reinstall Civil 3d. I'm receiving the message
⚠ An operating system restart is pending.
Please restart your computer to install Autodesk Civil 3D 2025 - English.
[Not now] [Restart]
I've restarted twice and this is the third time getting this message.
Autodesk...please help.
Was able to reinstall after following these instructions:
Uninstall the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x64) 14.34.31931
Go to "Programs and Features" in "Control Panel".
Search for the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x64) 14.34.31931 and try to uninstall it.
Reboot the system.
Install the software.
Note : If the message "No action was taken as a system reboot is required" shows up while uninstalling the Visual C++, consider the steps after the following screenshot.
Did the reinstall and I'm still receiving the message " Unable to run AutoCAD. A dependent component Microsoft .NET is missing or you don't have sufficient rights to run AutoCAD. If you have sufficient rights, install the missing component or reinstall AutoCAD."
I'll try the uninstall of the .NET stuff...seeing I have no other choice.
@pendean posted that early @adamsVHXGW
If that doesn't work, you have to do the full .NET/C++
Glad to hear you're up and going.

I am having the same problem with AutoCAD 2025. I just installed it today and I am getting the "Unable to run AutoCAD LT. A dependent component (Microsoft .NET) is missing or you do not have sufficient rights. Install the missing component or reinstall AutoCAD". I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling ASP.net 6 and 8. AutoCAD 2024 still works, so I can use that for now. Any ideas on what to try next? Thanks!
It's best to put a support ticket in. It's unfortunately a known issue with 2025 and a recent Windows update.
