Unable to install Trial

Due to technical constraints at work (partly proxy security problems, and partly just really poor internet speed), I have been unable to do a web install of Inventor Pro trial to this particular PC.  Nor have I been able to do a download to it (109 DAYS, was the last estimate at how long THAT was going to take)...  So I downloaded the trial to my PC at home and copied the whole download folder to a USB stick.

Now I am back at work trying to "Install Now" from the USB onto the new computer I have purchased specifically for CAD work, but the installer asks me to Insert DVD 1...

Can someone tell me what I have done wrong?

Hi @Anonymous Welcome to Autodesk Community!

Did you get the error message described in this article: Installing Inventor from USB drive is blocked by disc insertion message ? Try the solution in the article and let us know if it works.

Hi Lynn - many thanks for locating this article for me. It is pretty much
exactly the issue I had. However, I found an alternate workaround that
fixed it for me... I copied the downloaded files from the USB drive to
the 'Downloads' folder on the PC hard disk (since that is where the web
download would have gone to), and ran the installer from there. Not only
did this work, but it was an awful lot quicker to startup and get through
the initial stages of the process, than doing the same from the USB.
