You need to get a license file then configure the license manager with the new license. The error your getting indicates there's no valid license within the current license file.

Thanks Darin,

Yes I  think you are correct. When I try and generate the license I only get 2017 as the available product. I'm installing the 2016 product.

There are other persons in the office using 2014 if I add a network license for 2016 will effect the 2014 license?

thanks

The license file should be a packaged license if you're still on subscription. Which means you will have 2016, 2015, and 2014 licenses as well.

If your license file doesn't look like the above, then your licenses may have expired or you're on network (rental) licenses which you'll need to request the additional version from Autodesk Account Site.

Darin,

We do have a current subscription. Are you saying that after I generate the network license that it should include the licencing for the older versions?

Correct. Open your license file and take a screenshot and post it here. MAKE SURE YOU BLUR OUT SERIAL NUMBERS before posting

 Thanks Darin,

It's almost 500:pm here and most of IT has left for the day so I'll wait until tomorrow to generate the license. I'll need them to get it on the server so best keep them in the loop.

Thanks for your help. I'll and get back to you.

Hi Darin,

Though I would update you on the licensing. I'm now waiting for the ID department to get thier network person to work on a server to place the license on. I'm told it mabe next week before anythig will be done. I'm not very high on the list I guess.

Thanks for your help.
