Unable to activate AutoCad 2021

Hi All,

I just downloaded and Installed Auotcad2021 without any issues but when I come to activation stage post install I run into issues. The product will not activate with the supplied details in the mail sent to me. 

During the activation phase, an error code (Error 2)  is shown with a message stating the provided serial is invalid and when I close the window a error message pops up in Autocad  

licence manager is not functioning or is improperly installed. Autocad will shutdown now.
ADLSDK_STATUS_AUTH_PENDING
19: The Licence Checkout was cancelled by the user.

I have uninstalled the product , redownloaded on installed multiple times and still no success. I checked the windows host file, disable Norton Sec. NO SUCCESS.

I opened a case file with support and the reply was simply giving me my product/serial number which in obvious and working...

 

Windows 10 Pro X64

Asus G550JK Notebook with 2tb SSD

AUtoCad 2021 student.

All software and windows are updated as on 15 April 2020

Welcome to Autodesk Community.

 

You may want to check few things:

1. Login to your Autodesk account and check whether you are suppose to Sign-In or input your Serial Number.

2. If it is Sign-In, you need to choose Single User / Sign-In in the activation screen.

 

Most of the recent license subscription should be activated using Sign-In now.

Unless you have perpetual / maintenance-plan license (older type of license activation).

hi thanks for the reply.

I checked my account and the doesn't seem anything out of the ordinary there.  I am trying to install autocad 2021 with a 1 year student licence. in the account I can see the product serial number etc.

when I try to activate the product , first I get a promo screen (Pic 1) when I select I have a serial and enter serial details I gives me an error. when I try to activate with my Autodesk account details I get a error, sometimes the activation process  resets to the promo page again. I must of uninstalled the product 10 times and clean install but still having the issues. Can you confirm is not a serial number error??

I have tried to simulate your account, and I can confirm that you are suppose to input your serial number, once that's done, you will be asked to Sign-In after.

 

Please login to your Autodesk account, and you should be able to see 2 sets of serial number in there (i.e. for 2021 version), try either one of them to activate your AutoCAD 2021, it should work fine.

 

If the issue persists, I would suggest to log a support request with the error message screenshot, you will get support from the relevant team on your issue.

 

Note: please do not disclose any personal or sensitive information (i.e. serial number / e-mail address) in the reply.

Hello Vahn,

 

I tired to activate the account I get the error again. 

I checked the serial number and the 2 number you mentioned are identical for AutoCAD 2021.

I opend a ticket and they simply just replied with the serial number I already have and after that,  there was no answer CaseNo:16464595.

im stuck can not activate can not get a reply from support 😞

I have notified the relevant team on your case reference, they will contact you as soon as possible.

 

Meanwhile, do you want to try to install 2020 version and see whether that helps? so at least you have a software that you can use while waiting for the response from the Education Support team.

I have a member of my district college ( DCCCD ) that is having a similar issue.

 

I helped him update and reinstall his license manager and single sign on. When he goes to activate both AutoCAD 2020 and 2021, it gives him the ADLSDK_STATUS_AUTH_PENDING error 19: The license checkout was cancelled by the user.

 

We disabled the firewall to no success as well. One forum article talked about SSL 3.0 needing to be turned on, but since it is now MS Edge instead of Internet Explorer, we weren't sure where to go with that information.

 

Any help would be appreciated.
