Hi!
I just downloaded Maya 2020 a few days ago and I haven't been able to activate my student license software after I downloaded it onto my Mac Laptop. Originally, I was prompted to click on single or multiple users but now I am only given the multi-user or enter serial number option. I did not receive a serial number when I requested the program and I am only a single user on a student license.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Hello @ebujnoch,
It is recommended that you install the latest ALS update before installing the application. You can try to install it after the fact & see Autodesk Licensing Service Update & Single Sign On Component (2020 & up). Then restart the computer and test the product. If the issue persists continue on to option 2 (Windows) or (Mac).
If it doesn't seem to correct the issue then uninstall the application & reinstall it again.

Hi Natasha!
I did both the Autodesk Licensing Service Update and the Option 2 Mac choice you listed and restarted the computer both times after each download. I didn't do Single Sign On Component because it appears that is only available to Windows machines. The only change I am seeing is that the interface is different from the pop up I received earlier today when I try to open up Maya. I attached an image of what I am currently seeing below.
I also uninstalled Maya 2020 (dragged all 2020 related folders into the trash) and re-downloaded Maya 2020 and I am still having the same issue where it is asking me if I am a multi-user or to enter in a serial number.
Hello @ebujnoch,
Sorry to hear you are still having issues, but there is an AdSSO update for Mac, please follow the steps again.
I have copied them below:
Update the Autodesk Single Sign On Component
Reinstall the Autodesk Desktop Licensing Service
sudo chmod -R 777 /Library/Application Support/Autodesk

Hi Pola_S,
Thanks for your response! However, I am having trouble following all of the steps listed in that link since most solutions are for Windows but I have tried using different internet sources (wifi and mobile network). I also don't have the wire fall enable at the moment so that shouldn't be causing an issue. Really having a tough time trying to download this new version of Maya (have downloaded 2016 and 2018 this Mac already in the past). I am teaching a Maya course so I really need help as soon as possible.
Hi Natasha,
Thanks for your reply. I tried the first option (Autodesk Single Sign On Component (AdSSO) Update for 2020/2021 MAC OS product versions.) which I believe I have done before a couple days ago and the single user version still didn't show up when I opened Maya. Shut down my computer and everything before opening the program.
I also tried the more advanced option for Macs (Reinstall the Autodesk Desktop Licensing Service) but once I got to the point where I copy and pasted the command in the terminal I was getting an error saying that the file or directory did not exist (path path should be correct when comparing to my own network file path). I tried skipping ahead to Step 5 but I couldn't find a Remove Maya 2020 file/option anywhere. I did try to use this (Autodesk Licensing Service 10.1.1.66 installer.) but only one of the packages would install on my computer.
Hello @ebujnoch,
You mentioned a The Note included under step #4 mentions having to provide your password, for permissions access. Where you asked for a password, what does the Terminal respond with? Or just try again it may just be a typo running the Mac chmod tool.

Hi Natasha,
I did some digging and the link in one of your replies for a Mac Single Sign On Component was for windows. After a little bit of searching I found this update:
and then updated my Mac to High Sierra 10.13.6 and then that seemed to work! Once I restarted my computer I had the Autodesk Sign In option and was able to log in using my account to activate it.
Thanks!
