the installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory

Hello 

I am new to the Autodesk products 

I am trying to install Maya 2016 on Windows 7 but i keep getting this error every time  and i don't know how to solve it 2016-11-02 22_24_32-Autodesk Maya 2016.png

You need full access to that directory so licensing will work. Log in as an Administrator and/or give yourself full control of that directory and file within.

Honestly its messed up how autodesk dont help us with this.

After hours on google i found that i needed to "take ownership" of the autodesk folder (C: > program data > autodesk)  after taking its ownership it worked.  take a look on this video on yputube (final part of the link only)  watch?v=PiSH7hNZ9GY

Sometimes the forums are faster and even better at getting you a solution to these issues.   However Autodesk does help everyone. You just have submit a case
