Student Autodesk Account NOT recognised as Educational

I have number of my students who have set up Autodesk Account with their university email addresses but have not been recognised as students from an accredited University and as a result cannot collaborate with their fellow students.

How do I get their accounts change from Personal - Not for Commercial Use to an Educational license?

They have tried the Educational Support Contact Form without success. It is now becoming critical to their engagement with their Fusion 360 design studies.....Help?!!

Yes, the issue is with 3 students only the other students who set up the accounts at the same time (same University) are OK and have Educational License capacity.

Hello @matthew.archer

Please review the information below & share it with your students, when setting up their student accounts they should have received instructions via email on what is required to verify the account.

Please let us know if they have gone through all of the following steps.

How to get access to Educational Software

  • You need to be enrolled or employed by a Qualified Educational Institution
  • Create an Account & wait for your verification email from Verify@SheerID.com
  • To verify that you're eligible to access Autodesk Educational licenses proof of enrollment or employment needs to be provided & uploaded. You have a limited time to provide the documentation. Once uploaded, your document will be reviewed and you'll receive an email within 48 hours to confirm your status.
  • After receiving the approved verification email, visit the "Free Software" page it will provide you with all the information you need to download, install & activate, you will also receive an email containing your Serial# & product key,  information will appear in your Autodesk account in 24-72hrs

Please "Accept Solution" if a reply or replies have helped resolve the issue or answered your question, to help others in the community.

AutoDesk won't allow me to use Fusion 360. Are you having the same problem? I set up everything the way I was instructed to on the video and according to sources elsewhere and gave them proof of my enrollment to a school that was on their list, but for some reason, it won't allow me access to the programs as a student (or at all). please let me know if you find a way around this issue.

Hi @Anonymous,

What do you see when you log in: https://www.autodesk.com/education/edu-software/overview?

Does it look like this?

Yes and no, It shows TINKERCAD and two FUSION 360s. However, above those it has message that says

"Unlock educational access to Autodesk products
Students and educators can get free one-year educational access to Autodesk products and services, renewable as long as you remain eligible. Confirm your eligibility now."
I already went through that multiple times and have no other ideas

And it doesn't have the "Hi, (name)!" message.

Scratch the last reply, I logged in again, and for some reason, it looks exactly the same now.

Hi @Anonymous,

Since you can see your name in the banner click on Get Product/Get Access on the Fusion 360 tile.

If that continues to fail, reach out to educational support as there's an issue with your account.
