Sketchbook for enterprise lost connection to the license server

I am downloading Sketchbook for enterprise with a student subscription, but it will only download the 30 day trial. When i try to login or submit my serial number, an error comes up reading: "Sketchbook has lost its connection to the license server and will prompt you to save your file. Sketchbook will close, once your file is saved". The software then closes and I have to repeat the process over again, unsuccessfully.

Hello @Anonymous,

Thanks for being a part of our community! Smiley Happy

The educational version of Sketchbook should allow you to sign-in & Manage Licensing.

Temporarily disable UAC  Windows 7  & Windows 10. Also, try to navigate to your Windows Component Services to Enable COM servers.

Hi Natashal

The link to the student edition just downloads the enterprise version again? and is then causing the same issues as the first post?

Thanks

Hi,

I don't know if it's too late, buy I found a fix for myself.

Seems like on the first launch, SketchBook is automatically set to [Chinese] but still shows English everywhere. What you need to do is to launch the trial version to get into the interfact, go to [Edit] > [Preferences] and set your language to the correct one (English US or whatever you want to). After that, restart the application by clicking on the blue 30 (right top) and choose [I already have a product key] (or something like that). It'll restart to the menu, there you choose to activate with a product key (the middle box) and voila, it works!
