Hello, I am having pretty much the same problem as everybody else with the 1603 and 1619 errors. Not like it will shed any more light on the subject, but here's my install log:

Unfortunately for me, none of the fixes that work for everbody else work for me. I have followed the steps to prepping your computer for the download. I have tried all the options for downloading and installing. I have uninstalled and removed .NET and VC12. I used Virtual Assistant. I have done all this and more countless times. For over a week. I'm hoping I'm missing something obvious.

Have you tried to manually execute:

"C:\Autodesk\Autodesk_Maya_2015_R1_dlm\3rdParty\NET\4\wcu\dotNetFramework\dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64.exe"

Select in windows explorer, right mouse click and "Run as Administrator".

I did it after "preparing my computer" ( clearing temp drive, deleting all previous autodesk files, and doing a fresh "browser download", etc.). So, E is my storage driv that used to be a main drive. Should I delete all those files such as "E:\1beee590f0367e54881a217b\netfx_Core_x64.msi" to get it to stop targeting my storage drive?

Okay, I disconnected my storage drive and everything installed fine. Now to figure out how to get storage back on line without messing things up, but that's for another website entirely...
