Revit 2022 Installation Error

hello, I have a problem installing revit 2022, after the extraction is complete it displays a message that reads Install failed, please exit and restart the install, . I also turned of windows security and windows defender and my internet, still I get the installation error, I have attached a screenshot

Hello @oliverkisera

 

Thanks for posting in the forums. I recommend try the steps below to have a successful download & installation. 

 

  1. Conduct a Clean Uninstall of the previous installation & use the Microsoft Troubleshooter Tool to complete it
  2. Reboot the computer, make sure apps are not auto running in the background 
  3. Log in as Administrator (check your permissions, full control) or create a new profile
  4. Make sure you have an uninterrupted high-speed connection to the internet & try adjusting your  LAN  & proxy settings etc.
  5. Clean up the TEMP folder. To open the TEMP folder, type %TEMP% in the search bar by the Windows Start Menu and hit Enter, then delete unnecessary (Windows)
  6. Temporarily disable/disconnect security features such as Antivirus, Firewall, VPN & UAC on your Windows operating system.
  7. Apply the latest Autodesk Licensing Service Update & Single Sign On Component (2020 & up). Then restart the computer and test the product. 
  8. Use the Browser Download Method in your Autodesk Account or via the AVA | Autodesk Virtual Agent (download all the parts)
  9. Visit your Autodesk Account & apply all product updates

Hallo, Ive tried your suggestion, im still getting the same error, Revit
still cant install, should I try doing a clean windows install

I tried your suggestion, I even downloaded fresh revit 2022 files, deactivated windows security plus defender, deleaded the temp files, but still revit cant install, is there a possibility a clean windows install can work, im so desperate to have it installed since i have a bunch of things to do with it now

Hey everyone, brand new laptop. Revit is installing but it is staying at 51% but says I can run the application while it finishes. Been like this for hours. How do I fix this??

We have people that are having the same issues...

Any other suggestions before we escalate?

I had the same problem downloading and installing from the desktop app seems to have worked

I would suggest using "Browser Download" instead of "Install Now" or "Download Now". Also, try uninstalling "Generative Design for Revit" first and then try to install again.
