Hi All,

I've tried to install Revit 2021 multiple times,

each time I'm able to install and the installation finish successfully, however a shortcut icon is not created and there is no place to start the software.

The software showing as installed at windows add/remove programs (/windows 10), and also showing as installed through Autodesk desktop app, but when I click "start" at the end of the install it just takes me back to it, the software listed as installed at it.

I've reinstalled and installed, cleaned folders and registrar leftovers but the software wont install correctly.

also tried to run the installation by downloading the 6 files as this post but it didn't change anything:
https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/installation-licensing/i-can-t-install-revit-2021/td-p/9430919

I already have Revit 2019 & Revit 2020 installed and working.

what can be done?

Tnx Dori.

Restart your computer yet?

The app launcher is here on most computers with default installations:
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit 2021\Revit.exe

hi of course I rebooted it...multiple times

This folder "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit 2021\"

was not created in the install, I can see the previous Revit versions such as:
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit 2019\

C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit 2020\

But that folder is not craeted, yet "Autodesk desktop app" reports that Revit 2021 is installed.

After I fully remove all Revit 2021 components and reinstall from scartch, the software shows that it is installed correctly, it is showing as installed both at "Autodesk desktop app" & in "add/remove programs",
However there is no how to start it, when I browse to the folder of it (screenshot attached):
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit 2021
That folder is empty (only has "Samples" folder in it).
I already had Revit 2021 installed and working before, however I needed to remove it to install Revit 2019 & 2020,

And now I cant get it back to work.

You probably need this tool for fix your OS issues then start over https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-r...

If that does not help, take your PC to a repair shop and have then reformat it for you.

Try a full Clean Uninstall of everything Revit 2021-related. Make sure Generative Design for Revit is uninstalled via the Windows Control Panel before you re-attempt the install. Follow the best practices for installing.
