Revit 2020 Install (Stuck)

The install of Revit 2020 is stuck at Autodesk Revit 2020 | 485 MB of 7.52 GB download.

I have read the Autodesk_Revit 2020_Readme and I have the right system configs.

I tried yesterday and ended up ending it. Then I have redownloaded the install today and it is stuck again. It has been a few hours. Not sure if something would be blocking the install or what.

Any ideas? Is this happening to anybody else?

Thanks for any help.

Because you are using the install now method.  You need from your Autodesk Account to select browser download and not use the install now method.

However there's an issue with Revit 2020 activation where it only runs in View mode.  So you have to place it in trial mode until they resolve it.

Where I work we only have up to 2019. So I went to the Autodesk site and only option It gives me is to download the exe install file. I essentially just want to use the trial version on my computer to check out the new features.

I have been facing the same problem. I've been trying to install the student version of Revit 2020, and that installation process has been stuck at the same position for several hours. I don't know what to do. I Have attempted this installation on Dec 26, 2019.

Because you're using the web installer...  Don't....

There's a couple of ways to properly download and install your Autodesk product to your machine.  Please review this article and the solution it provides.

If the installation does fail using the preferred methods, please post your installation log file here so we can review it.

Posting info: Sometimes the installation log file contains the serial # that was assigned to you.  Open your log file using Windows Notepad and perform a search on "/SN".  Depending on the number of installation attempts, your serial # may be located throughout the log file.  If present, remove or "X" out your serial # prior to posting.

Good luck on your installation and report back on your progress.

Hi! I want help as I tried installing revit 2020 many times. I am using the Download now method. As for the installation log, I have this line regarding Microsoft Visual C++ that states ignore rollback.

Could anyone enlighten me how to fix this?

Btw, I have revit 2018 currently installed, and it was installed smoothly along with autocad 2020.

Thank you

Don't provide an image of the log file.   Just attach the entire log file.
