One of our users has a problem with new installation of Revit 2017. It crashes on startup while still on the splashscreen with the message:
"Autodesk Revit 2017 has stopped working"
The journal (attached) gives some error messages. Unfortunately I can not find what the error is pointing at.

I checked the System Requirement pages.
The user is running windows 10 Home 64 bit. Before investing in other windows version or new computer. So can I assume the cause is Windows 10 Home?

Hello, I'm using a MSI GE60 2QD laptop with a Nvidia GeForce GTX 950M and running windows 10 Home edition, and I have exacly the same problem.

Anyone from Autodesk have a solution for this. Everything was working just fine yesterday, nothing has been installed or changed really on my computer.

Hmm, I thought when I replied to the comment it would quote it, but this is the solution that worked for me,
Your profile is incomplete. Please try resetting your Revit profile by perform the following:
Â
Navigate and delete the following directories:
Open the registry editor (Start > Type REGEDIT hit enter)
Delete the following registry folder:
Â
On those the deleted, launch Revit again.

Opening revit in viewermode and then opening revit in normal mode solved it for me... (for now)
