Hey all,
I really hope I will find some help in this forum!
I ve first downloaded revit 2016 in Italian last week (I own a mac book pro 2015 that runs windows 8.1 through boot camp), and it was perfectly working. My tutor suggested me to get the english version, so in order to do so, I ve uninstalled the Italian version and downloaded and installed the english one . When I first opened the english version, I received a message that was saying "The path you have specified for the default family template files is invalid". Also, the software was no longer working with a Metric system and the four elevation symbols at the start where no longer circular but squared (Which I dont know if it s a relevant detail or not). I didnt really know what to do , so I ve tried a few times to uninstall and reinstall the software again, always unsuccessfully. Then I took my laptop to the Microsoft store, and got some help from one IT expert, that unfortunately couldnt do anything : he couldnt delete or modify or repair the Revit Content Library from the control panel. So I tried to find some solution by myself, and I ve downloaded a software to force the uninstallation of the library content and then downloaded the software again but now the library content is missing from the control panel and I honestly dont know what to do. I have to start uni again in two weeks, and I really need this software to work! Any kind of help will be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance!!
Carolina
I followed all the instructions, I ve installed revit again and the sign "The Path you have specified for the default family template files is invalid' still appears when I launch the software.... Any advice on how to solve this?
