Renew Autocad 2018 student license

With the new licensing system in place, where do I renew my educational license? The guide here mentions a personalised banner, but I don't see any button with "Renew license" on the page (I am eligible and have access till august 2021 for this academic year).

Hi @Intuos5,

Have you re-requested AutoCAD 2018? - 2018 is still listed. Which should then activate AutoCAD 2018 and link the subscription to your access date rather than a fixed date, meaning when you renew your existing licenses will be renewed as long as they are still in support.

As in: go to products > Autocad? The only option I see is to redownload Autocad 2018, I shouldn't have to uninstall/reinstall to renew a license now, should I?

Hi @Intuos5,

I would try downloading AutoCAD again but just ignore the installer as that should trigger the license being added to your account - I had to do this with Fusion 360 recently.

Once the license has come through you should be fine.

Indeed, after downloading one of the files, I was prompted with an option for serial number, network license and sign-in, choosing the latter did the trick.

Hello, I tried this but it didnt work for me. I'm enrolled as a student/educator and when i redownload nothing happens. If i open the installer it just tells me i have the latest version already installed and if i want to open it. Nothing else happens?

I'm trying to renew and extend my subscription as it expires in 3 days.

Which version of AutoCAD are you using?

As for renewing, allow the license to expire then request the software from the portal again, ignoring the download.
