In addition the student is using the install now option..  Don't.. 

There's a couple of ways to properly download and install your Autodesk product to your machine.  Please review this article and the solution it provides.

If the installation does fail using the preferred methods, please post your installation log file here so we can review it.

Posting info: Sometimes the installation log file contains the serial # that was assigned to you.  Open your log file using Windows Notepad and perform a search on "/SN".  Depending on the number of installation attempts, your serial # may be located throughout the log file.  If present, remove or "X" out your serial # prior to posting.

We loged into the web interface for students

went to recap

downloaded it

started the installer

That is Method 1 you mention in the article to read.

INSTALL NOW has so many issues and I would never recommend anyone to use it.  I can tell right by the image you shared the install now function is being used.  Its downloading and installing at the same time.

That article does not indicate to use the INSTALL NOW option.  Method #1 tells you to go to Autodesk AVA, select your product and use the browser download method.  You download the actual software, extract it and it starts the installation.  2 totally different ways..

So why does AD offer it then when it is flawed?

So you suggest to download the full installer ?

Isn’t there also a desktop AD app for updates and apps to install?
