Problem installation Autocad

Hello, I'm a french student in architecture, I would like to install Autocad 2018 on my computer. This is my new computer and I didn't uninstall Autocad from my last computer. I download the file from Autodesk website, in the student section and I start it from my computer (not in internet). The program starts normally but few seconds after, there is a mistake message which says "install error ; Network Failure " and the installation stop.

How can I solve this problem ? Thanksbug installation autocad.jpg

Welcome to the Autodesk User's Community..

 

You stated you want to install AutoCAD 2018 but your image shows 2017?  Which version are you installing?

 

Anyhow, there's a couple of ways to properly download and install your Autodesk product to your machine.  Please review this article and the solution it provides.

 

 

 

If the installation does fail using the preferred methods, please post your installation log file here so we can review it.

 

 

 

Posting info: Sometimes the installation log file contains the serial # that was assigned to you.  Open your log file using Windows Notepad and perform a search on "/SN".  Depending on the number of installation attempts, your serial # may be located throughout the log file.  If present, remove or "X" out your serial # prior to posting.

Hello @clotairetisseau,

 

It seems you already installed AutoCAD 2018 on another computer, you are now trying to install it on another? That is fine, on the computer you are trying to install on now, please uninstall all previously attempted installs & start fresh. 

 

  1. Conduct a Clean Uninstall of the application & use the MSfixitTool to complete it
  2. Reboot the computer & log in as Administrator 
  3. Clean out the TEMP folder. To open the TEMP folder, type %TEMP% in the address bar of Windows Start Menu and hit Enter (Windows)
  4. Temporarily disable security settings like Antivirus, Firewall & UAC on your Windows operating system
  5. Try to access your Autodesk account using your User ID & Password. Then go to the user icon at the top, on the drop-down select "Manage Products & Downloads".
  6. Use the Browser Download Method in your Autodesk Account or via the AVA | Autodesk Virtual Agent (download all the parts)

Thank you for your help, it finally works after a total cleaning of all the Autodesk products and the installation from Autodesk AVA.
