I'm starting a class in Maya in the morning. I'm taking this continuing education course at SVA and have been told by a good portion of my professors AND animation colleague that I could get a license to use the software on my own. A 3 year license sounds great and all, but when I went to download the software using "Install Now" after registering, the download kept failing and failing. The first thing I got was a "Communication Error". After numerous attempts, and numerous emails to me with the same product key and serial number, I decided to download the "AutoDesk Download Manager" thing - figuring that's what I was missing. No matter how many times I downloaded and redownloaded the stupid "Setup" file it wouldn't launch! Even after I turned off my Firewall, even after I tried a "Browser Download", it failed without fail - and I'm not trying to be funny in saying that - IT JUST DOESN'T WORK!
Is there phone support? Because the Help pages on the site are a maze. I want a quick answer - even though I'm getting the software for free for 3 years doesn't mean I have to suffer trying to figure stuff out.
What am I missing???
