no where to enter activation code

I have an activation code and I have the serial number and I am signed in as a user

when I start AutoCAD iit brings up the activation screen

I enter the serial number, then the ACTIVATE button becomes live

At this stage there is nowhere to enter the activation code.

I click the ACTIVATE button.

It does not provide a place to paste in the activation code.

It just runs throuigh its checks and then does not activate

It wont accept me as another user because it recognises my email address

Welcome to the community...

What Autodesk Product and Version?

Are you seeing a message about contacting the contract administrator to gain permission for this product?   Post screen shots of what you're seeing.  Your description can be interpreted 2 different ways and I want to make sure I'm providing the correct solution to your issue.

Sorry I should've warn you to blur out personal information such as your serial #.  Smiley Sad  This is a world wide user forum and that type of information should not be shown here.  I will have the moderator remove it to protect your serial #.

Now to your problem:  You have a desktop subscription and activation is done through your Autodesk ID and not a activation code. At this point the application is not assigned to your Autodesk ID/named account. Which means the contract manger for your subscription needs to log into their account, un-assign the product from their account and then assign it to your Autodesk ID. Do you know who the contract manager is for your subscription or are you the contract manager?  The contract manager is usually defined by the person who purchased the software.

Also do you see the Autodesk product assigned to your account/named ID?

This may sound like a stupid question but when you sign in at the application level you are using the same credentials as your Autodesk Account?  I would suggest logging out of your A360 Desktop App and the Application.  Restart your machine and then launch the application again so you are force to sign in.  If that doesn't work I would suggest contact customer service chat line here.   Just wait for the web page to fully load.   We are only users here so we have no way of troubleshooting your actually Autodesk account.

Hi @Anonymous, there are 2 things that I can that's incorrect.

  1. The Product key is for AutoCAD Architecture instead of the Collection suite "02HI1" for 2017. (This issue is that the collections just came out so the may not be a product key for 2016 which would be 02HH1
  2. Your serial number is for your AEC Collection 2017 software. Within your Autodesk Account site > Products Expand Architecture Engineering Construction Collection and click the link Get Serial Number.
