Having an issue with my remote office which I will attempt to explain.
My main office is in Long Beach, CA where I have my Primary Domain Controller with NLM installed serving 14 BDSP licenses.
I recently opened a Chicago office and had my staff there connected to the Long Beach server via a VPN.
This worked well for NLM but opening files has been dreadfully slow.
I am in the process of implementing Panzura which should resolve these issues. One of the first steps is to install a local Domain Controller in Chicago and have users there authenticate to that server.
Here is where I ran into trouble. Now that Chicago users are authenticating to the Chicago server they are no longer getting the licenses from NLM on the LB server. They are still connected via the VPN and have access to files on the LB server, they are just not getting the license.
I'm sure there is a solution to this if someone could help.
Thanks,
Paul
