I need to request network license file from V2017 to V2013.

Normally I just request it pass by "Agent". That is easy way and fast.

But today is very difficult.

Can I do another way is easy and fast?

Please suggest.

Hello @ballnr,

Welcome to the community.

I assume you are referring to Vault, Vault requires some more steps so please review Vault Server Installation

A license file first needs to be generated or requested here:

1. Generate a Network License File in Autodesk Account or Requesting a Network License File

Note: If you are installing Autodesk Vault Basic, you do not need to install the Network License Manager or license file.

Note: In the case where you have combined the license with an existing license file (make sure to check for copy/paste errors)

*If you need help Finding Your Host Name and Physical Address

Then, the NLM needs to be installed and setup:

2. Make sure you meet the NLM requirements to Install & Configure it

3. Then, on each Client computer at launch, specify a License Server "2080@ServerName"

To generate a license file (pick one)

1.  The contract manager or software coordinator for you subscription can log into their Autodesk Account and select Generate License file link

2.  Go to the Autodesk Register Once Web site and follow the prompts.  With Register Once you have to repeat the process for each network serial # that you have and then combine the license file at the end.

3.  Contact your reseller and they will do it for you.

4.  Contact Autodesk here and they will do it as well.

In all cases you will need the name and MAC address of the machine that is hosting the license file.   One final thing, you must update your license manager to version 11.13.1.2 (https://knowledge.autodesk.com/customer-service/network-license-administration/get-ready-network-lic...)

Well it depends on the history of your Vault path.

Vault 2013 is retired and no longer supported by Autodesk.  If this was on a maintenance plan and its still active for Vault, then you are not entitled to use it unless you get an exception for Autodesk.

So you have to tell us your history of your Vault upgrade path.

Hello @ballnr,

You will have to use request license files using RegisterOnce if you need a package license file for older versions, not sure how far back they will provide a package license for.

In addition to @natasha.l information..  Just because registeronce allows the legacy version..  You need to keep your license in a compliant state.  I've had instance where registeronce allowed a user to go all the way back to Vault 2012 but they are not entitled to it and if Autodesk audited you, well you could be flagged and fined.   That's why its important to know your Vault upgrade path.  Do you have a reseller?
