How do you make sure that the option install the reset shortcut is installed when it’s not an option that you can select during the installation as per previous years, images attached?
The AdMigrator.exe application gets installed but no shortcut is created as per previous years.
Any ideas?
Can you confirm that you have an admigrator.exe located in C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2016?
The shortcut should exist....
If I see right, you've created a deployment and installed AutoCAD from the deployment.
It is possible, that the property to create the shortcut is wrong in the created "acad*.mst" file. The deployment wizard creates this file.
It should be located where you have also the acad.msi file.
Can you upload this file ? But in this file there is also the serial number and all your settings stored. So I'm not sure if you will do this.
But what you also can do is activate the MSI logging before you install AutoCAD and upload the created MSI*.log files here.
Or send me a private message,
regards
Markus
After more testing I appear to have discovered what causes the problem, when creating a deployment or installing locally if you pick the Custom option and uncheck the option to Migrate Custom Settings it then fails to install the Reset Settings to Default shortcut.
So it look as though this was missed out in testing by Autodesk?
Same result with us as well.
