Hi everyone!
I am an army spouse currently stationed outside of the US for the next couple years. I was excited to find out about the Maya indie license, as it would make it actually affordable to continue my animation and rigging career as a freelancer. I left my industry job in my move, and with it my access to these programs.
Unfortunately, since I am currently not in the US, I am unable to sign up for the license. Does anyone know if this is an issue that can be solved, or anyone I can contact about this?
Thank you in advance!

Welcome to the Autodesk Community..
This program is only for those in certain regions.
"Offer is only eligible to those based in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK or the US"
Are you in any of these locations?

I am currently temporarily in Germany living on a US base for the next few years but will be returning to the US afterwards. I will also be visiting the US back and forth within those times.
i don’t believe you don’t qualify then since you don’t live in those countries listed

That is disappointing. Is there a contact for support that I can talk to, to see if there is anything that I can do since I am based in the US but only temporarily in Europe while my spouse is serving?
If I had signed up for my license before I had changed duty stations, would my license have stopped working?

Autodesk support has no control over the terms established by Autodesk legal department.
If you had done it before you left and when you moved it wouldn't break it. But there is probably others rules prohibiting someone from getting the license in those designated areas and then moving elsewhere to use it. Just like commercial license. I can't obtain one and then go to Germany to use it because I moved there.

I see what you mean. However, wouldn't this situation be covered under the Global Travel Rights? My permanent address is in the US
probably not since its a pilot program & its not being offered everywhere

But you are technically not traveling.. You are living there for an extended period of time. Travel rights means I'm working for a place in a given country, go to travel for business to somewhere else and then come back to my country of origin. In addition this Indie program may have different terms since you are getting the product for a reduce price or rate.
However we are just users here and have no legal standing on the terms laid out by Autodesk.
In the end I''ll reach out to my Autodesk contacts and see what they say.
