Maya 2020 student version - Installation didn't actually installed (gives it's existed)

I had Maya 2018 student version, once I've deleted it, and installed Maya 2020 student version, it installed successfully and installed it actually for the first time, but when I launch it, it stuck on the log screen and another white screen I don't know what is it.

After multiple tries to run it, and still the same,  I decided to delete it and install it again. gave me a message (installed successfully), but couldn't find Maya anywhere on my device. I checked the Autodesk folder (default folder C:\Program Files\Autodesk) but the Maya folder doesn't exist. so it didn't actually install Maya.

I tried multiple times to install it again and again but with no actual installation!.

I checked the article (Autodesk clean uninstall), and re-installed Maya, but the issue still the same!!

also tried with Autodesk Desktop App and the same results!

can you please help me with this.

Thanks in advance

Hello @Anonymous,

It hard to say what is preventing your installation from completing without a install log to reference. The issue is likely, lack of preparation on the system to download & install our software.

  1. Make sure you meet the system requirements for Maya 2020
  2. Conduct a Clean Uninstall of the previous installation
  3. Reboot the computer, make sure apps are not auto running in the background
  4. Log in as Administrator (check your permissions, full control) or create a new profile
  5. Make sure you have an uninterrupted high-speed connection to the internet & try adjusting your LAN  & proxy settings etc.
  6. Clean up the TEMP folder. To open the TEMP folder, type %TEMP% in the search bar by the Windows Start Menu and hit Enter, then delete unnecessary (Windows)
  7. Temporarily disable/disconnect security features such as Antivirus, Firewall, VPN & UAC on your Windows operating system.
  8. Apply the latest Autodesk Licensing Service Update & Single Sign On Component (2020 & up). Then restart the computer and test the product.
  9. Use the Browser Download Method in your Autodesk Account or via the AVA | Autodesk Virtual Agent (download all the parts)
  10. Visit your Autodesk Account & apply all product updates

Hi @natasha.l ,

Sorry for the late replay, I took a fast solution by trying to download the previous version (maya 2019) and everything worked great!

Thank you
