I was trying to install maya2017 on OSX Yosemite ....it said that the installation failed on exit. I read about it that it had to be ignored and then a licensing window would come up .....but nothing like this has happened . I have tried this a couple of times but nothing happened.
Thanking in anticipation.
Hello @Anonymous,
Please make sure you have Download OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 Combo Update mentioned in the system requirements.
Then follow How to change or reset licensing on your 2017 software for Mac. This will pull up the "Let's Get Started" Screen that will allow you to activate.
The issue may also be due to MAC user install error AdSSO.pkg.
Let me know how it goes.

I have gotten the same "Installation failed on exit" error. Unfortunately, the proposals made here didn't solve the problem for me.
I got the AdSSO-v2.pkg and installed it seperately before the installation of my Maya 2017 student version and upon checking saw that the installation package also has the up-to-date AdSSO-v2.pkg included.
The link Natasha provided on "How to change or reset lincensing for your 2017 software" for Mac didn't work as well?
My operating system is OS X El Capitan (10.11.6). Thank you very much in advance for your help and further suggestions!

Hello @Anonymous,
Sorry to hear you are still having an issue installing on your Mac. Try a clean uninstall for Mac and try installing the software again using the
Autodesk Virtual Agent or "Browser Download" in your Autodesk Account.
Let me know how it goes.
