Maya 2014 Issues

I am constantly unable to open Autodesk Maya 2014 files that I have previously saved in maya 2014, and it has only worked once so far today in my testing, which was after I resetted maya to its default settings. After which, Maya again failed to open files (.mb files, have not tried saving files in .ma). This problem has been going on since two or three days ago on my current PC, when I opened maya and supposedly encountered the same problem. Also, I am confused at why on the opening of almost every saved file, a dialog box pops up asking if I would like to save the file, and the viewcube in maya is not present every time I open a saved file and I have to manually enable it every single time I open a saved file. I hope you guys will help me look into this problems that I am encountering with maya at the quickest possible juncture and I wish you guys a nice day ahead 🙂

Additional Notes that may help: On opening maya 2014 as a new "file", no problem was supposedly encountered, with maya displaying the general interface properly, however, the notable exception from the general interface was the viewcube.

Latest Updates: Tried again today and the same problem described above occured. I resetted maya again today and it worked for some time after I resetted it (Files opened properly). However, on reaching home and trying it out again, it failed to work again.

Attached below are some screenshots of the problem I am facing and my system's general information. Thank you. Smiley Happy

My laptop is running a Nvidia Geforce 850m graphics chipset. Maybe that will help in resolving this issue

I really will hope for a quick reply from you guys on this issue. In the meantime, I have found a temporary solution to my issue, which involves enabling the viewcube manually from settings and also clicking on the 4 views/perspective buttons on the left hand side so Maya will display my opened file correctly.
