Maya 2014 crash

I recently downloaded Maya 2014 (student edition) for Windows and each time I try to open it, a window pops up saying that it is trying to verify my license. Immediately I get a notification saying that the 'Autodesk Component' has stopped working and a few seconds after, it says that it has encountered a problem and needs to close. 

I've Windows 8 and I don't find Flexnet fild

Hi Isabelle,

 

Take a look at the below solution and see if it applies to you.

If your system has a bios SN than the above solution won't apply. This error can also be caused in some cases by switchable grpahics cards. Take a look at the solution below if you have one of those video cards. .
