I am finding conflicting information on how many computers the software can be installed on by a single user:
1. https://www.autodesk.com/company/terms-of-use/en/subscription-types
Your Authorized User may install Software on up to three (3) Electronic Devices; however, Your Authorized User may only use the Software on one (1) Electronic Device at a time.
2. https://www.autodesk.com/company/legal-notices-trademarks/autodesk-terms-and-conditions/eng_autodesk...
A Named User may access Autodesk Account and/or Install and/or Access Benefits on multiple Computers, provided that a Named User may not be Logged On to Autodesk Account or Accessing Benefits on more than three (3) Computers simultaneously;
Is it maximum 3 installs, only 1 in use, or unlimited install, max 3 in use? It seems more pages point to the first case, but still, why to the Terms and Conditions say different?
Thank you!

3 ...
Quick example:
Work PC
Travel PC
Home PC
One start up you'll see it doing a "Checking License" this is verifying it on starts ...
I've seen it on more than 3. Will it work .. yes.
But they need to be the same named user using them.
Example, assigning it to User A .... then have it on 3 machines where User A and then a User B is signed in under User A .. that would get you into trouble.
Thanks for the reply. of course, the same Named user would be using all the computers. I assumed it would technically work to have it installed on a lot of computers. But legally?
What has me confused is the different official pages stating different things. One says I can only install up to 3 and use on 1, the other that i can use up to 3. Any idea which is officially the correct version?
Thanks!
@Anonymous
You can install a given license onto 3 machines. However the named account to activate/authorize the product can only be done on one machine at a given time.

Hi
I've been trying to find this information for Fusion 360 paid / 1-year subscription. Not quite sure if this post covers all Autodesk products? Can you confirm for Fusion 360?
Hi @mgrauZ237M,
The same terms of service apply, you can have 3 installs but only one in use. However, Fusion (being cloud-based) will detect when multiple sessions are in use and you'll be asked to terminate other sessions.
Hi Mark:
For a nearly "$2,000.00-a-year" subscription for 2022 AutoCad Architecture, after sales tax, Autodesk should at least allow us to activate a Single User Subscription License on two (2) of any three (3) devices, usually PCs and Laptops
.
For example, Adobe allows us to use Acrobat Pro DC and Photoshop 2021 on any two (2) devices under the same Adobe Subscription License.

Hi @kevinesmith,
If Autodesk was to allow 2 active instances then licenses would more than likely be shared (I'm aware of this being against the EULA) rather than 1 user license. If you had 2 active instance limits then unless you physically tracked devices you'd have a hard time spotting license sharing.
Adobe still only allows 1 Active Instance of a product but 2 Activated Computers.
