Hello dionnupoort

We noticed you were receiving a fatal error. The fatal error message can indicate several issues. A video card driver update will typically help with this, but fatal errors usually are generic errors, give these steps a try.

  1. Update to the latest certified graphics drivers & Adjust Global Setting to run it
  2. Check the system requirements for the software & make sure you have the required OS updates
  3. Verify the Microsoft Products (Visual C++, Libraries, .NET) properly installed by checking the install log or Control Panel (uninstall/reinstall)
  4. Conduct a Clean Uninstall of the program use MSfixitTool to complete the uninstall
  5. Download all of the parts Autodesk Virtual Agent & Re-Install the product

@natasha.l - if you find out the cause here, I've love to know how the software is working fine and then all of a sudden there is a licensing error.

It would help us help people like @dionnupoort in the future.

It might help you guys fix whatever is breaking and causing down time for your users too.

Thanks.

In cases like this (if the other items don't resolve the issue) where its been working

I always recommend to disconnect for your network/internet and then launch the product.  Run it for a few days in off-line activation mode.  Once the product is running, plug or connect back to your network.  I know its a band-aide fix but every time I suggest it, the user is back up and working..  Smiley Wink

In this off-line activation mode you have 30 days before it requires activation again..

But this work-around only works if the application has already been run once and the license activated.

No need to uninstall anything..  The automated response of OTTO is not correct.

Just disconnect for your network, launch the product and go into off-line activation mode.  Once the product is running, connect back to your network/internet.

Good idea @Mark.Lancaster - thanks. I still hope that Autodesk will make adjustments in the software internally so that their users (like @dionnupoort here) won't have to deal with these problems. It should be handled behind the scenes. Smiley Happy
