A friend of mine has AutoCAD 2017 and after a Windows 10 update he now gets this message when opening AuroCAD: " The License Manager is not functioning or is improperly installed. AutoCAD will shut down now." Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Thanks for the replies. After reading through all of the suggestions and possible solutions, and finding that AutoDESK no longer supports 2017, I am afraid that my friend is out of luck.
You can do this ..
Please review the following AKN article about this error,
https://knowledge.autodesk.com/search-result/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Licensing-Error.html
So can we just do this part of the AKN article and test:
Reset the login cache by removing the LoginState.xml file
Windows: %localappdata%\Autodesk\Web Services\LoginState.xml
Note: If the file cannot be removed, open Task Manager > Details tab, terminate the below processes and try again:
AdSSO.exe
AdAppMgrSvc.exe
AutodeskDesktopApp.exe
AdskLicensingAgent.exe
Quick video that should help with how to delete it:
