Inventor trial period over

It is one trial per user. Please review the terms of use there is a section "Trial Versions".
Keep in mind, if your son is enrolled at a qualified institution the educational program would allow access to the application for 1 year.

The program will require at this point to be activated and it will no longer work until activated. Unless you are going to reformat the hard drive, you will not be able to run it again as a trial on this given machine.

I believe it's in the registry and you can't keep going. You would need to get a subscription.
However you would have access to all of your files. Being 2021 you would have read only mode now ...
