Inventor 2022 Error 1603 - 'the install couldn't finish'

Hi everybody, I've been getting a error code 1603 at around the 50% installation mark everytime I use Setup.exe. I've tried many proposed solutions from here from using browser download to trying to uninstall and reinstall anything Autodesk related. I have heard that 1603 could mean a wide range of issues, but unfortunately all I've got to try pinpoint what the exact issue is is this bit of text from Summary.log (attached).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Are you using a deployment to install? Try installing from a fresh download under https://manage.autodesk.com

The error message you are getting (as seen in your screenshot) tells me your serial key is not working as defined in the deployment (797N1). However, searching for this error code 1603 we see it can happen for a variety of other reasons too. I would make sure you have enough disk space and clear out your Windows TEMP folder if you have not yet done so:

No I have never used a deployment before. I've tried following the steps listed in the link below and have done a fresh download, this time with the 2020 student version. However, this time instead of a 1603 error it now comes up with a 1712 error so I'll try defer to other solutions in the meantime and get back to you once I see how it goes. With the 2022 version, I also did notice that the setup wizard would not automatically open once all files were extracted to C: drive whether that's normal or not.

I was unable to Install Inv 2022 as well.

For me it was a stupid language pack from a previous install that was stopping me.

Here is what I did:

The folder where I found the uninstaller is; (had to turn on “show hidden files & folders to find it)

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Uninstallers\Autodesk Vault Professional 2022 (Client) – English

Alright, so I've tried:

- Clean uninstalling all Autodesk related items

- Uninstalling and reinstalling Autodesk licensing services
- Uninstalling and reinstalling all C++ packages from 2010 onwards
- Deleting all Temp files prior to extracting Inventor files
- Downloading from the browser
- Disabled Windows Defender Firewall
- Set 'NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation' value to 0

Even after doing all this nothing has worked and I've ended up with a 1712 error code for my Inventor followed by the 1603 error. Is it possible that I'm getting these problems due to a corrupt user profile?

You might be on to something... I just had to delete some user profiles/folders to make Vault Pro to work again for a couple of users, and the error was similar 1603.

See if you can use this fix:
