Installer does not work

The ReCap pro installer is not working.  It only provides a message saying "Something is preventing the software from downloading.  Please contact your system administrator."  But the device that I'm installing the trial on is a burner device without any security that we explicitly use for things like trial software.  So, there isn't anything on it that would prevent an install.  Is the web installer broken?

Try other way to install ReCap (browser download). Also you can download version from service https://ava.autodesk.com/modular/?module=download 

I think screen below is well describing all steps to get a link to download an install-archive:

Hello @Anonymous 

 

Do you have any antivirus that could block the installation, Try to turn it off and relaunch the Installation. Also try the suggestion of @georg.grebenyuk

Pick the BROWSER METHOD / Multiple Computers option and this should help resolve it.

 

Turn off the Anti-Virus during the installation

None of the support staff comments are relevant to this issue.

 

The device is a blank device imaged for product evaluation (i.e., no virus protection or etc.), and multiple other products were installed on it prior to ReCap Pro.

 

To install ReCap I had to call into the support number and have them provide me with a special download link.  Now I am having trouble because there was not a trial license issued with the install.

The browser and the Account Manager should have been able do that.

 

I help with issue a few times ( like more than a few) a week.

 

I've found the Install now or Anti-Virus was the main issue. Sometimes permissions ..


But glad you're all set!

The issues are not resolved.

 

The software is installed and runs.  I am able to log in to it.  But I am completely locked out of everything.
