Install of Revit 2021 from deployment won't update to 1.8

I have a traditional deployment I've used many times for Revit 2021. 

It installs 21.1.1.109...

... However, I cannot get the update to 21.1.80.35 to successfully install. (the 2021.1.8 hotfix).

Indicated Error in log appears to be pointing to a 1603 error.  Early on in the logs multiple lines show this:

Expected product version == 21.1.10.26, found product version 21.1.40.95.

Apparently 1.8 will install on most any build except the one this deployment installs.

... is there any way I can remedy this without having to install maybe several other hotfixes first?

The hotfixes are cumulative. You could try a repair first and then try to install the patch. If that doesn't work - the log file nags about c:\windows\Installer\6b574e8.msi. Rename that file and try the patch again.

It also nags about the SteelConnections addin - is that addin properly installed?

I'm looking for updates to 2021 and cannot find any through my account or otherwise. Do you have a link to the downloads?
