Yesterday my brother wanted to use autocad but it didnt work so he tried uninstalling it and downloading it again but a error message showed up it was something with renaming a file from autodesk license but when i went to the folder where the file should be there was nothing, anyone got a idea on how to fix it? I tried deleting all the files i checked windows updates and all the stuff it said in the help thing but autocad is still not working. When i try to download it it tries to update the old version which is nowhere to be found because its deleted.

It may a hidden file on your computer.  Try this:

To see hidden files in Windows, you can use the following steps:
  1. Open File Explorer
  2. Select View
  3. Select Options
  4. Select Change folder and search options
  5. Select the View tab
  6. In Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives
  7. Select OK

You can also type "show hidden files" in the search box on the taskbar and select Show hidden files from the search results.

You will have to remove all AutoCAD file from that year on your computer.

Clean out your Temp folder:

https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-delete-temp...

Try using this installer first:

Then try reinstalling AutoCAD
