Try the following installer

( you need to download all 6)

I can't install it either on a brand new computer that's never had any Autodesk software installed.  Its not good that you try to install the trial of a software and it doesn't work.  Doesn't really show well.  Plus there is no explanation or anything.  Shouldn't Autodesk fix this?

@RevitArkitek

What happens when you try to install it?

How are you installing it?   ( Downloading of the browser method / Install now ?)

I used the link on this page:  https://www.autodesk.com/products/revit/overview?plc=RVT&term=1-YEAR&support=ADVANCED&quantity=1  After running that it downloads another installer, and then that installer downloads more files to install.  Mine was getting hung up somewhere halfway through the download/install process.

Do I also need to install all 6?

I tried 3 times using the regular method.  I downloaded the 6 files and then it worked.

The problem with this thread is that downloading a bunch of files after you had trouble installing from the actual installer is not a solution!!  Autodesk should fix the actual installer!!  Or at least give us access to a log or something that tells us where the problem may be.

up, had a similar problem, eventually came up with a theory, restarted the download, opened a Task manager terminal, and watched the ethernet process, between 350 and 450mb (of 9.44gb) the internet flatlined.

Now considering I have fibre optic, i doubt that it is my multi billion dollar internet provider, or the modem, more likely autodesk's revit server!

Note: once downloaded the downloaders, used autodesk desktop app, and it maxed out the modem till done!

Hi @Anonymous

have you used Browser Download?

Sometimes the issue is not the connection speed, it's about the security tools on the way from Autodesk server to your computer (not only on your computer), but at your provider or so.

I tried all the 6 different types, the web download, the manual download (but all stopped downloading after a few hundred megabytes), but in the end Autodesk desktop app did the install (still going) and maxed the modem! (please put me through to payroll so I can tell them where to send the cheque!)

thanks

Andrew

Same problem here. I can see Revit keeps its standards, even during installation...
Stuck at 4.74 GB, tried Pause Download, but Retry Download does nothing.

There are 5 solutions marked as solved?
Which one works? I was looking for a solution highlighted in green.
I've canceled installation and I'll try again.
