I can't install 3ds max 2021

When I try to install 3dsw max 2021, after half bar of "preparing to install" install window crash

what is your system example what version of windows do you have? make sure you have the 64bit of windows and not the 32 bit because autodesk doesn't do the 32 bit anymore

 

make have you have

RAM4 GB of RAM minimum (8 GB or more recommended)

hard drive space needed 9 GB of free disk space for installation 

Make sure windows is update,

 

if you have all this then you should be golden and it should install, if not then please put a screen shot of your error massage,

 

do you get a crash reporting error asking you to send the error to autodesk if you did make sure you fill out with your that crash reporting error and that and write down the refernece number and post it here then an autodesk employee can look it up or they can look that up with your email address. but please don't post your email here. or you could get a lot of unwanted messages,

Hello @Anonymous, 

 

Try looking at the system requirements to make sure you meet the minimum. Also, make sure to start fresh by uninstalling & reinstalling using the steps outlined below. 

 

  1. Conduct a Clean Uninstall of the previous installation & use the MSfixitTool to complete it
  2. Reboot the computer, make sure apps are not auto running in the background 
  3. Log in as Administrator (check your permissions, full control) or create a new profile
  4. Make sure you have an uninterrupted high-speed connection to the internet & try adjusting your LAN  & proxy settings etc.
  5. Clean out the TEMP folder. To open the TEMP folder, type %TEMP% in the address bar of Windows Start Menu and hit Enter (Windows)
  6. Temporarily disable security settings like Antivirus, Firewall & UAC on your Windows operating system
  7. Use the Browser Download Method in your Autodesk Account or via the AVA | Autodesk Virtual Agent (download all the parts)
  8. Apply all product updates from your Autodesk Account & the Autodesk Licensing Service Updates
