How to install Maya 2024 properly in Windows 11?

I am a student and am using student license to access Autodesk products but am unable to understand how to properly install Maya 2024 in Windows 11.

My Confusions:

#1 Confusion: The below screenshot shows that there are 3 different ways to download the installer for Maya.

Confusion #2: The below screenshot shows that using the "download" and "custom install" button provides 2 different files. One being in GBs and the other in MBs.

Confusion #3: Do I need to install Maya in the default location for it to work properly or can I install it anywhere?

Confusion #4: How to update Maya without the need to uninstall and reinstall after every update?

I am very desperate and am forced to use this forum to look for/find answers, please help. Any sort of help is appreciated.

#1 all three option do work. I use download. But others here just use the Install option.

#2 Those two files are just archives. They are split cause of size limit. They will extract if you run the installer.

#3 Best is to install to default. I recommend it only for expert users to install on custom location.

#4 Maya should be able to update in any case. But its saver to clear everything. If you have a lot of custom plugins.
