If you are wanting to sign up for the Autodesk Educational Software, or have signed up and are having issues accessing your software, please read the below information.
Getting Access to Educational Software
In May 2020, the Education Program implemented a new verification process for Educational access to products. When signed in & trying to access products & services from the Education Community you'll now be prompted to go through the process below.
There is no need to manually activate newer versions of Autodesk products. They are activated online automatically, so a good internet connection is required.
Common Questions about signing up:
Please note that we will be reviewing the date of enrollment, not the print date or view date of your document(s). For example, your transcript may have been printed yesterday, but it shows that your most recent enrollment in classes was a previous term. Future terms are also not eligible, so acceptance letters unfortunately are not proof you are currently enrolled.
I am home-schooled. Am I eligible for the Autodesk Education plan? Yes, if you meet the criteria for home-school access. Visit the Autodesk Education Community, choose a software title, and create an Autodesk account. When prompted to choose “Institution type” select the option that is the most relevant to your situation. Once your email address has been verified, you will be required to complete your education profile. When asked for the name of your educational institution, type “Home” in the field and then select “Home School (Any)” from the drop-down list. Proceed to complete your profile and you will then be asked to check your information is correct. Review it and then click the “Verify” button. You will then be asked to upload documentary proof to confirm your home school status. The document must show your first and last name, the name of the home school or home school association and be dated within the last three months. Official letters from curriculum providers or local school districts are acceptable.
I have an existing 1-year or 3-year individual Educational license for an Autodesk product, and it is due to expire/has expired. What do I do? Visit the Autodesk Education Community, sign in to your account, and if prompted confirm your eligibility for free educational access to Autodesk products and services. Then you can access a new subscription for your chosen software product through the Autodesk Education plan.
I’m waiting for my eligibility for free educational access to Autodesk products and services to be confirmed. How can I access Autodesk software in the meantime? We thank you for your patience and trust that your eligibility status will be determined shortly. If you are over 18 and have an urgent need for immediate access to Autodesk® software, you may consider accessing a free 30-day trial
I was deemed ineligible for free educational access to Autodesk software and services, but I believe there has been a mistake. Who can I contact to resolve this? Please contact SheerID, our verification service provider, at customerservice@sheerID.com for assistance. They will be happy to help.
If you have successfully submitted your information and still having access issues:
Haven’t received approval from SheerID? Remember, verification can take up to 48 hours. SheerID will notify you if they need more information. Please make sure to check your SPAM filter as we are seeing reports of the notification being directed there.
You can check on your status if it has been more than 48 hours by reaching out to SheerID Support.
It's been more than 48 hours, you've checked your SPAM filter, and there's still no email from SheerID: Reach out to SheerID support, and make sure to review the SheerID Faq's in the meantime: https://verify.sheerid.com/autodesk-student-faq/
When trying to confirm my eligibility for educational access to Autodesk products and services, I couldn’t find my educational institution in the drop-down list provided. What should I do? If your educational institution is not listed, please complete the “Request to add school” online form. This will initiate a manual vetting process and, if approved, the school will be added to the Qualified Educational Institution list, typically within seven days. Please return to the Autodesk Education Community after seven days to determine if your educational institution has been approved and added to the school list.
I’ve been asked to provide additional documentation to confirm my eligibility for educational access to Autodesk products and services. How long will it take? Timeframes vary. Some general guidelines for document review are:
Note: Be sure to check your email junk/spam folder

What about those of us maintaing multi user educational environments? I.E lots and lots of labs with hundreds of computers where an individual license will absolutely not work.
Are we just screwed?
Thats explained here: https://damassets.autodesk.net/content/dam/autodesk/www/industries/education/docs/edu-verification-c...
Educators and educational institution IT/lab administrators who confirm
their eligibility for educational access are able to obtain 1-year multi-user and network Educational licenses through the Autodesk Education Community, under applicable terms. Upon license expiration, multi-user and network Educational licenses are renewable if the educator/IT/lab administrator still meets the eligibility criteria for free educational access to Autodesk products and services. This applies to all software products and all versions available through the Autodesk Education Community.

As an educator, do I need to do this even though I already have the software? Do I need to have our school on file so students can verify their accounts?
Is there a way to receive updates about this? My class started downloading today and received the message about needing a transcript or student ID. I was totally unaware of the new requirement and would like to be on a mailing list or be part of a group to learn more.
I tired to email the verify account you have listed above and was told the group may not exist or I may not have permission to post to their site. I would like some help with their verification process using Fusion 360
Autodesk doesn't handle the verification
read the pdf that was linked it tells what documents are required

My students have registered, we have submitted paperwork, and they have been verified. They did not receive a confirmation email with a serial number in it. When they login, it asks for a serial number. Tech support says that AutoDesk no longer issues serial numbers for education accounts, but links it with their AutoDesk sign-on. My students logon through the AutoDesk Desktop App, and then try running AutoCAD, but it still asks for a serial number. I don't know what else to do. Please help!
i have created an student account, everything was done. And then downloaded the Autodesk Revit software but couldn't sign in(in single user option) though my account is valid till September 2021. Can you plz help
Hello,
I'm, trying to get a license but it keeps telling me my enrolment letter doesn't match my records and therefore rejected. I think my old university is still registered and I would like to update it with my current CG school. How can I update my school records or just remove the old university from my profile and add this new one to it?
thank you
We have followed all the steps for my students to get access to Autodesk Fusion 360. For those students whose certification letters were rejected during Autodesk account creation (even though their letters were identical to students who were accepted, they went through the Sheer ID process, which sometimes took several attempts as well).
Now, all of my students have emails from Autodesk saying that they are validated as students through 8/2021, but 25% still have "trial accounts", most with "terms expired" and cannot access their accounts.
We are a distance learning school and they do not have administrative privileges on the school computers.
Is there any way to get them access to their software? They are falling behind in their work and understandably frustrated.
autodesk has that list here: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/What-URL...

Just in case it helps someone else:
After jumping through the student verification hoops, some of my students still showed trial accounts and some had term expired, even though they had verification through 8/21. We went here: https://www.autodesk.com/education/edu-software/overview?sorting=featured&page=1
signed in with their student accounts, clicked on get products/access for fusion360, let it download and opened it. When we clicked open, it said "this software is already installed, would you like to open it" Clicked yes and they now show educational license.
So easy - I wish it didn't take me weeks and many student trials to figure it out.
Hello,
I'm an administrator (took over in July) at a School District. The usual set up for a lab exists in our High School. Since we may go remote learning at any minute, the school decided to use Gsuite for remote learning. I noticed the Autocad web app can be used with gsuite. I followed ALL the steps to be verified, user account, products, etc. and I seem to be having an issue. I installed the autocad web app for my gsuite domain. I saw the app in the app container in gsuite. But, when I click om it nothing happens. Did I do something wrong? Is something supposed to happen when I click on that app in the google app container? Is that app just a redirect to the autocad login page? Also, I have a teacher that says the autocad web app disappeared from the google app container, any reason this would happen?
Last question - our school does not allow students to have email. Is there another way to verify the student accounts besides email? Do you have any documentation that can help me with the Google integration?
Thanks in advance,
Adam
