HELP! Installation problem, error 1619 & 1603

I have installed Autocad 2014 last few months successfully, but today while installing Revit 2015, it said "Installation completed. Some products failed to install." and it's related to error 1619 and 1603 problem. I've checked this forum but I can't really understand what to do exactly. Please help...

I've been trying to install Revit 2017, but apparently, it keeps showing me Error 1619.

 

Some of the products failed to install. I've attached my setup log for your reference.

Thanks for attaching your log, which appears to indicate that a Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable failed to download or install. 

 

Whereas it's possible that the link to the prerequisite was down, it's more likely that your machine already has a newer version installed.  Windows won't allow installation of an older version than what's already installed.  Your best bet may be to remove the later version from your machine and then try the Revit install.  Guru Travis Nave covers this in detail here:

WARNING: This is a worldwide public user community and it's important that you do not include/share your serial # in your posting/attachments. I will have the moderator remove your serial # in order to protect your information. For the future please keep that rule in mind.

 

Thank you for sharing your installation log file.  Like @cadmgr has indicated your installation is failing based on that information.  However in sharing your log file you have also shared your serial # with everybody as well.  Smiley Wink

Thank you very much for your warning! I will be more careful next time.

I did try out the link that @Anonymous gave, it does not work for me as well. I tried uninstalling all the Microsoft Visuall C++ and re-install it using the setup.

I also tried to tweak the setup.ini to bypass the pre-requisite checking. It does not work as well.

 

Maybe I did it wrong.

 

Please advise on what I can do to make it work.

You may be referring to the link inside "Solution #1" on the first linked page.  That one appears to lead only to a general knowledgebase search area.  You're in the right place now, as folks here have dealt with this issue.

 

Can you post from your latest install log just the chunks that refer to the failing portion of the install attempt?

We are talking here about PrDSu 2015 deployed via AdminImage.

This AdminImage deploys ONLY:

- Inventor 2015 SP2u5

- Mechanical 2015 (no SP)

All other countermeasures are taken (enough disk space, admin user triggering the command, MS FixIT to clean uninstall previous modules...)

Inventor installs perfectly.

Nevertheless the setup of Mechanical always ends up with:

...since I found it myself I will post the solution as well. It might help somebody.

 

You NEED TO HAVE DotNetFx 4.5.x

 

If by some case, you have the 4.6 because you are convinced that 4.6.x is a valid replacement of 4.5.x, silent install will fail, and no logfiles will be there to tell you.

In this case, if you are deploying ONLY ONE VERTICAL (as for example in my case only ACAD Mechanical), you can also integrate the SP in the deployment.

@TravisNave got a customer with this exact issue and disabling the BIM360 add in from the install worked a treat 🙂  However the SketchUp Import plugin now seems to be causing the same issue. Installing BDSP 2016, SketchUp import plugin is where it comes up with the error have you come across that before?

I have not particularly experienced this error.  But I suspect you can probably do a custom install and deselect it as well.  Might be worth drilling down.  If you have any log files like Mark suggested, that would be great too.

Hello,

 

I have a simiar issue and cannot install Revit 2017.

I have turned off my Firewall and uninstall my antivirus.

I also deleted the temp files af found on other pages.

I also tried to uncheck the BIM 360 and Formlt 360 when doing the installation.

 

I noticed these errors in the log file:

Related to the first, I couldn't find to unselect that Dynamo in the installation in order to skip it.

Related to the seccond, I tried uninstalling Visual C++ 2015 before running the install again but still didn't worked.

Welcome to the community...  Although you are getting 1603 and 1619 errors the installation log file indicates you are using the web installer

 

This method is unreliable and shouldn't be used. 

 

Download and install per:

1. Access the Autodesk Virtual Agent and follow the download links to your product.
2. Download all of the parts (some applications only have a single part to download) for your product first. Do not continue until all of the parts have fully downloaded.
3. Navigate to your download folder location and extract (double click) part _001_00X.sfx.exe (or the single file download).
4. In a few seconds the extraction will start and prompt you to extract to C:\Autodesk.
5. Once the extraction is finished, the installation will automatically start.
6. Follow the installation steps for your product

If you want the full recommended installation steps, click on the installation link in my signature.

However if the installation does fail using this method, please post your installation log file here so we can review it.  Posting info: Sometimes installation log files contain personal information such as your serial #.  Prior to posting your log file please make sure to remove such info.

 

Good luck on your installation and report back on your progress.

 

Although you were probably unaware of this, but when you post or share stuff here, please make sure it doesn't include your personal information such as your serial #. This is a world wide user forum and that type of info should not be included in your posting. Granted the installation log file helped us to determine your root cause (but it did contain your serial #)... So in the future remove or blur it out before posting. I will have the moderator remove it in order to protect your information.

I followed your steps and tried to reinstall but still the same errors.

I attached the log file and as you said, I removed the serial.

Can someone help me out please? I have gone thru forum after forum trying to figure out why my install keeps crashing when I get to trying to install Dynamo add-in, but nothing seems to help. Error log below. Thanks in advance.
