Is there a way to remove an AutoCAD license remotely? I know many other programs can remotely log people out or remove licenses of software so those who shouldn't have access to licensed software can be removed, but I haven't found anything about that for Autodesk products.
We had a few employees leave our company recently, and we had them install AutoCAD on their home computers when the shutdowns hit. I know, probably not the smartest move, but we didn't have much of a choice at the time... Since those are their personal computers, we can't exactly get access to them to remove the licenses. Based on what I've found, even if we remove their seats, they'll still have access to AutoCAD through our license. Is this true?

Hi @awatson5EJAC,
If you remove their seat then they don't have a license so shouldn't be able to activate. However, it is possible to run for up to 30 days if they run AutoCAD offline.
It depends on what kind of license you have. If it's a perpetual license activated with a serial number, you won't be able to remotely deactivate it for him. If it's a home use license with a serial number generated from a network license, you won't be able to remotely deactivate it but it will expire around your renewal time (I think 30 days after renewal date but not sure) and will NOT be automatically renewed (it has to be requested by the Contract Manager every term). Potentially, you could contact Autodesk support to see if they could remotely deactivate it but I've never done that so don't know.
If it's a single user subscription license, he will lose access as soon as you un-assign him from the license.
