Fatal error attempting to save in

I am not sure what to do.I tried the  MAYA_DISABLE_CIP=1 (tried manual as well)and updated graphics card.I have the student version.I have tried updating windows.So not sure what do next.

Operating System: Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit 
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3517U CPU @ 1.90GHz (4 CPUs), ~1.9GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 8066MB RAM
DirectX Version: DirectX 11

Did you ever get an answer to this. Having same problem. I did the same things you did, but still not fixed.
