Hey Autodesk community.

I am having some issues with the install of Inventor Professional 2018.

I continue to come up against the screen linked below.

The log file is also attached.

Thank you in advance for your support,

Hi @Anonymous Welcome to Autodesk Community!

Looks like your Inventor was not downloaded properly. Please disable your firewall and anti-virus programs, and re-download the software from our Virtual Agent (click on Download Links, choose product and version). Then try the installation again.

Welcome to the Autodesk User's Community..

Your installation is failing due to this.  Review that article and try the installation again.

Hey Lynn,

The firewall was disabled and the download was taken in three parts from the Virtual Assistant, but still without success.

The new log file is posted below.

Thanks,

Timothy

Hi Mark,

I did not find a 3rdParty\x86\VCRedist\2012UPD4\vcredist_x86.exe file in my download package, I am downloading in three parts with the Virtual Assistant.

I did, however download the x64 VS Redistributable from https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/details.aspx?id=30679.

I get the same error seemingly.

My log file is attached.

Still the same problem.  Here's what I would do..   Follow the steps here and then run the installation again.  Good luck and report back on your progress.

Hey Mark,

I uninstalled every C++ Redistributable from my system and reinstalled from the bottom up, x86 and x64 alternating but still, the install fails.

A new log file is attached.

Okay at this point you will need to modify the installation setup.ini and bypass the 2012 C++ section (2012UPD4\credist_x86.exe).  Review @TravisNave forum posting in how to do this.  Just adjust his steps to match the item that you want to bypass.
