When I click on the exe file to install Revit i get a dialog box that says "Something is preventing the software from downloading. Please contact your system administrator"

If you are using the Install Now method of download that displays this error, you want to try a more reliable method called the Browser Download.
I have listed some steps to prepare your system for download and installation in case you run into a problem.
