I had my doubt about this new deployment method, which is now called Deployment experience. See The new deployment 'Custom install'. I postponed installing the 2022 products. Update 1 for Revit 2022 was released last week, so now it's time to roll out Revit 2022, including update 1. Modified my install script and let it run. It took about 30 minutes to install Revit. And although I had configured it as a silent install, it displayed a dialog I had to restart the machine. No you don't, you have to continue my script to install update 1 and then some apps. So, after closing this dialog, my installation script continued with update 1. And it popped up a dialog where I had to click 'Install'. Right. Switches for the installer had changed since earlier versions. My mistake. Another try. Dialog displays progression and stalls a considerable amount of time at 33%, as mentioned in the release notes. Just let it run, it will finish some time, some day. Installing update 1 only lasted about 15 minutes. On the machines to follow, they all needed about 45 minutes to install both Revit and update 1. And I wonder why. Why 45 minutes to install Revit 2022.1. Older versions weren't exactly installation-speed-demons, but this is ridiculous. And after reading this "Autodesk has improved the installation and deployment experience making it faster, easier, and more reliable.", I get the feeling I'm living in some kind of parallel universe where things work the opposite way.
So Autodesk, please explain why I do not experience this 'Deployment experience' like you promised?
