Hello,
I use distributions to distribute applications to user workstations.
AUTODESK announces that most AUTOCAD 2022 products can benefit from the simplified creation of dispatching by the "Custom installation" option.
I would like to know if when using "Custom installation" on Autodesk - Account, we create a deployment with the last update of the product available (and associated components) at the time of generation of the deployment or if the created deployment contains only the initial version of the product.
For example, I have created yesterday, by "Custom installation", a distribution for AUTOCAD LT 2022 and when I install the distribution on a workstation, it is version S.51.0.0 of AUTOCAD LT 2022 which appears when you click on "About ...".
When I look at the properties of the acadlt.exe file that is installed the file version is 30.1.51.0 and the product version R24.1.51.0.0 for a file date of 1/29/2021.
However, I see that on July 13, the following update was published: AutoCAD LT 2022.1 Update 64-Bit.
Does the distribution I just created by "Custom installation" include this update? I doubt it because the dates of the executables are 01/29/2021.
If not, how do I take the updates into account in my distribution ? Do I still have to use the old method of creating distributions by loading the components by All products and services and creating the distribution by setup ?
Thanks for your help

Hello @DSIT_BREST,
The Custom Install available with most 2022 Autodesk products, allows you to pre-configure your installation in an Autodesk Account before you download. Using online Custom Install within Account, you can choose a variety of application settings, including extensions. You can even add multiple products to a single customized installer. This option is available while you are selecting products and settings step #5 of the, "Create deployments from Autodesk Account" instructions. If you need profile customization like printer settings & templates etc. you will need to export/import a custom profile from the Autodesk application, "Adding a custom profile into an AutoCAD online deployment".

Hello @natasha.l
Thanks for these informations.
In spite of everything, there remains one annoying point: indeed, as indicated in the AUTODESK documentation, the advantage of the “Custom Installation” is to have a distribution with the latest version of all the components (the main component (for example, AUTOCAD LT 2022) but also the components on which the main component is based (for example, AdskLicensing)).
However, the version of ADSKLicensing delivered with the “Custom Installation” of AUTOCAD LT 2022.1 is still 11.0.0.4854 while a new version 11.1.0.5629 is available for download with the classic installation procedure of AUTOCAD LT 2022. .
This leads us to ask ourselves questions also for the versions of the other products delivered in case of "Custom Installation".
If the "Custom Install" does not retrieve all of the latest available versions of the products related to the main component being dispatched, there is a problem.
AUTODESK support gave me a method to take into account in a second step, the last version of AdskLicensing but for me, it is only a waiting solution: it is absolutely necessary that AUTODESK improves its method of management of Custom Installations to take into account all the latest versions of components as soon as they are published.
Have a great day

I made a new test today and the Adsklicensing component is at the latest version now: it will have taken a long time to have a correct distribution.
I hope that in the future AUTODESK will improve the method used to support the latest versions of components.
