Creating a MSI file for Acad2000

Has anyone managed to create an MSI installation for AutoCAD 2000. I would
like to install it to a number of machine using Windows Group Policy
Software installation.

I understand AutoCAD 2000i and 2002 comes with an MSI install on the CD. We
are not planning on upgrading at the moment.

Thanks

Hi John,

AutoCAD 2000 was Install Shield based so no MSI. Also if your using Group
Policies I would bet your looking at trying to do this on Windows 2000 or XP
Based systems. We do not support AutoCAD 2000 on these platforms. They
came out after we shipped AutoCAD 2000 and there are some issues. You would
be better off looking at AutoCAD 2004. It supports Group Policies and even
has example docs included.

Take care.
